Namaste everyone, and welcome to Nirvana Yoga at Moira Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic.
I’m Jenni, and I have been delivering Mixed Ability and Beginner classes at Moira Physiotherapy on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings since October 2021.
From January 2023, I am offering an additional Beginner Yoga class on Tuesday mornings
I am a fully qualified Hatha Yoga Teacher, having completed the 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified Teacher Training Diploma Course at Santosha Yoga Studio, Lisburn. I am also a trained Holistic Therapist and have been working as such for over 20 years. I am a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) and the Guild of Holistic Therapists (GHT).
During all our classes we explore the many benefits Yoga practice offers us, always moving with, and listening to, where our bodies are at that time – which is different for everyone. We use props and modifications throughout the class ensuring that everyone is moving at their own level and pace.
Our Mixed Ability classes are open to beginners and to those who practice Yoga regularly alike. They offer students the opportunity to progress their practice through developing already learnt poses and exploring new ones through variations and modifications. Again, always moving at their own level and pace.
Our Beginner classes are open, not only to beginners of all ages, but also, to those who have practiced Yoga in the past and wish to reconnect with the foundations of their practice. Students are encouraged to use props and modifications in order gain maximum benefit from a pose, while working at a level appropriate to them.
Classes take place:
- Mixed Ability – Monday 7pm – 8.15pm
- Mixed Ability – Wednesday 7pm – 8.15pm
- Beginners – Tuesday 10am-11.15am
- Beginners – Thursday 7pm – 8.15pm
The classes are small and are booked as a 6-week block both to ensure your place and also to give you a reasonable insight into what may become a beloved habit. At the end of the 6 weeks, you can rebook to maintain your place before it is offered to others.
